Dr. Sonja Pettersen Sonja Pettersen N.M.D. is licensed in Arizona to practice primary care medicine specializing in natural therapeutics. She received her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, OR in 1998 and completed a year of residency in 1999 at the same college. She is currently certified in the aesthetic arts of Laser hair removal and Botox injections. Dr Pettersen is one of the medical directors at Physician’s Skin Institute and a Laser Instructor at National Laser. Dr. Pettersen’s practice harmonizes the Vis Medicatrix Naturae, or the healing power of nature with the modern day demands of her patients.  Her practice exemplifies a holistic approach to patient care through a variety of modalities including Frequency Specific Microcurrent, European Drainage, clinical nutritionbotanical medicine, I.V. therapy including chelation, homeopathy, functional medicine, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, Ortho Bionomy and mind-body techniques. She is also a Certified Hypnotherapist and Neuro Linguistic Programming practitioner. 1997 Dr. Pettersen has trained over 300 health-care practitioners in Frequency Specific Microcurrent, a revolutionary technique for healing damaged tissue through frequencies. Dr. Petterson serves as one of the medical directors for Physicians Skin Institute and National Laser Institute.

Dr. Douglas K. Perkins M.D., F.A.C.E.P

Dr. Perkins received his M.D. from University of Arizona in 1974 and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix. Dr. Perkins is Board Certified from both the National Board of Medical Examiners as well as the American Board of Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Perkins' 30 years of distinguished practice includes appointments in Arizona's most respected hospitals and medical institutions. He served on the Emergency Committee at Paradise Valley Hospital and as President of the House Staff Association at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center. He served on the Emergency Services committee at Desert Samaritan Hospital in Mesa and as Medical Director of Emergency Services at Yavapai Regional Medical Center. He was a member of the Family Practice Committee at Scottsdale Memorial Hospital-Osborn and a Fellow at American College of Emergency Physicians. He also served as Chairman of the Code Committee and on the Emergency Committee at Scottsdale Memorial Hospital-North.

Dr. Perkins currently holds emergency positions and/or hospital affiliations with Paradise Valley Emergency Physicians, Paradise Valley Hospital; Phoenix, Emergency Physicians Professional Association; Columbia Medical Center, Phoenix Baptist Hospital and Arrowhead Community Hospital, Glendale, Arizona.

Dr. Perkins has also served as Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Division of Clinical Education, AZCOM, Midwestern University, Glendale and Medical Student and Physician Assistant Training at Paradise Valley Hospital. He also has teaching experience with the American Academy of Family Physicians' Scottsdale Memorial Hospital, Dept. of Emergency Medicine.
